SP Center performs controlled shot peening and related surface-treatment processes for metal components requiring documented process control and qualification.

SP Center at a glance

SP Center sp. z o.o. is a Polish industrial organisation based in the Rzeszów–Dworzysko Science and Technology Park. Controlled shot peening is its primary capability, supported by shot blasting and vibratory finishing. XRD residual-stress measurements are coordinated with an external specialist laboratory.

We work with customer-supplied parts on development, prototype, serial-production and outsourcing programmes. Process controls, records, qualification requirements and the responsibilities of each party are agreed before an order is accepted.

Process capabilities

Controlled shot peening

Controlled shot peening modifies the surface layer of selected metal components under defined conditions. Media condition, Almen intensity, coverage, exposure, excluded zones, access and records are controlled against the governing drawing, specification and agreed control plan. Shot blasting

Pneumatic or wheel blasting is primarily used for cleaning, descaling or surface preparation. It is not interchangeable with shot peening even when parts of the equipment look similar. Review the shot-blasting scope.

Vibratory finishing

Vibratory finishing may support deburring, edge smoothing and surface finishing. The media, compound, cycle time and acceptable dimensional effect must be selected for the component and its acceptance criteria. See vibratory finishing.

XRD measurement support

SP Center coordinates the test scope, component or specimen preparation and delivery of results. The XRD residual-stress measurement itself is performed by an external specialist laboratory. A measurement result does not replace process qualification or the engineering assessment of the part.

Quality, certificates and scope boundaries

SP Center’s management system is certified to IATF 16949:2016 and to EN 9100:2018 / AS9100D with ISO 9001:2015 within the scopes stated on current BSI certificates. The IATF scope reads “Manufacturing processes of shot blasting”; it should not be treated as automatic certification of every shot-peening order.

Supplier qualification, approved-source status, FAI/AS9102, PPAP and process qualification apply where invoked by contract, specification, programme or customer approval. Open the current certificates, identifiers and validity dates.

Management and ownership accountability

Paweł Kmieć — Managing Director & Shareholder — is responsible for strategic direction, investment decisions, key programmes, cooperation models and commercial relationships.

Quality

The Quality Leader oversees the management system, controlled documentation, customer requirements, records, measuring equipment and conformity-related actions.

Production

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, team organisation, process stability, the use of approved parameters and on-time execution.

Maintenance

The Maintenance Manager oversees machine availability, inspections, infrastructure records, cooperation with the relevant technical authorities and continuity support.

Facility and organisational capacity

The facility at ul. Biznesowa 5, 35-213 Rzeszów, Poland provides approximately 2,500 m² of production and storage space. Storage height is up to 10 m and the stated floor load is up to 10 T/m². These figures describe the infrastructure; space, equipment and throughput remain subject to project-specific confirmation.

The Rzeszów–Dworzysko location, close to the A4 motorway and Rzeszów–Jasionka Airport, supports domestic and international logistics, audits and technical visits. A manoeuvring yard assists with deliveries and larger components.

How cooperation starts

Customers do not need to know every shot-peening parameter before the first discussion. Available, non-restricted information is enough for an initial gap review.

  1. Submit the current drawing, material, heat treatment, volume and known requirements.
  2. Review geometry, access, process zones, risks and preliminary feasibility.
  3. Agree the governing specification, process controls, records and responsibilities.
  4. Plan trials, FAI, PPAP, source approval or process qualification where required.
  5. Release the process only after the documentation and acceptance criteria are approved.
  6. Run production with lot traceability, process records and agreed delivery controls.

Projects we can assess

New development or prototype

We can review the available documentation, identify missing inputs and define a trial or qualification route. Production parameters should not be promised before material, geometry, manufacturing sequence and customer requirements have been assessed.

Serial production

Serial work requires stable input documents, approved tooling, a control plan, change control, traceability and agreed reaction criteria.

Transfer or alternate source

A transfer requires comparison of scope, equipment, qualification, reference data and the customer’s approval route. Two sources should not be assumed to be equivalent without evidence.

Process outsourcing

Options may include work at SP Center, dedicated capacity, customer-owned equipment, a hybrid arrangement or selected on-site activities. Compare outsourcing models.

No. SP Center can identify missing information and discuss the next step, but it will not invent requirements that should come from the design authority, governing specification or qualification programme.

Does a system certificate approve a component?

No. A management-system certificate does not replace approval of the component, source, process or contract-specific requirements.

How should certificates be verified?

Check the certificate number, scope, certification body, issue and expiry dates, facility and the requirement being invoked. Current documents are listed on the certificate page.

Does SP Center run XRD measurements in its own laboratory?

No claim is made for an in-house accredited XRD laboratory. Measurements are performed by an external specialist laboratory; SP Center coordinates the agreed scope and information flow.

Are prototype and serial projects possible?

They can be assessed after feasibility, documentation, capacity, trials and the necessary approval path are confirmed.

Can SP Center take over a process as an outsourcing partner?

Several models can be evaluated, but the right arrangement depends on volume, equipment, location, process data, responsibilities and customer approvals.
