Preparation and control of an industrial special process

From enquiry to a controlled process

How to work with SP Center

Cooperation may cover an initial feasibility screen, a prototype, a serial launch, a process transfer or long-term outsourcing. The right model depends on documentation, volume, equipment, location, quality requirements and customer approvals.

Who the cooperation is for

We support design, manufacturing-engineering, quality, procurement and operations teams that need to assess or organise a surface-treatment process for a metal component. The first discussion can begin with a complete requirement or with a problem that still needs definition.

Information worth preparing

  • current drawing and revision;
  • material, supply condition and heat treatment;
  • process zones, excluded zones and functional surfaces;
  • invoked specifications and end-customer requirements;
  • known requirements for intensity, coverage, media and records;
  • dimensions, mass, annual volume and batch size;
  • required timing, processing location and packaging;
  • FAI, PPAP, source-approval, audit or qualification requirements;
  • available reference data for a transferred process.

Problems we can review

A new component

We review access, geometry, material, manufacturing sequence, masking needs and process controls. Feasibility is not declared from the component name alone.

An unstable or difficult process

Available data on parameters, media, tooling, handling, coverage, intensity and records can be reviewed. This does not replace the design authority’s or customer’s formal responsibilities.

Transfer to an alternate source

We compare requirements, equipment, reference data, qualification scope and the evidence expected for equivalence. A source change needs a controlled approval route.

An incomplete specification

We can identify missing information and questions for the design authority or specification owner. SP Center does not invent requirements that should come from the product definition or contract.

Cooperation models

Processing at SP Center

Components are delivered to Rzeszów and SP Center performs the agreed process, controls and records within the confirmed scope.

Dedicated capacity

Where volume supports it, dedicated equipment, tooling, resources or production windows can be evaluated. The arrangement depends on investment, qualification and programme duration.

Customer-owned equipment operated by SP Center

This model may cover transferred or provided equipment with explicit ownership and responsibilities for maintenance, data, spares and approvals.

Work at the customer site

Selected programmes may allow SP Center equipment and personnel to operate at the customer’s facility. Health and safety, infrastructure, access, process oversight, quality and logistics must be agreed.

Hybrid arrangement

Some activities may be performed at SP Center and others at the customer site. The interface must preserve consistent data, traceability, change control and unambiguous acceptance.

From prototype to serial production

  1. Review inputs and identify gaps.
  2. Assess feasibility and establish preliminary responsibilities.
  3. Agree trials, tooling, controls and documentation.
  4. Complete process qualification, FAI or PPAP where invoked.
  5. Approve acceptance criteria before serial production.
  6. Stabilise production, monitor performance and control change.

Industry network and independent providers

SP Center is publicly listed as a member of Aviation Valley and the Silesian Aviation Cluster and appears in the Automotive Suppliers directory. BSI is the certification body for SP Center’s management system, not a customer or component approval.

These names describe a verified membership, directory listing or provider role. They are not customer references, technical endorsements or extensions of certificate scope.

Questions about cooperation

Can we send an incomplete drawing?

An initial discussion can start from available information, but a quotation and process confirmation may require a current controlled drawing and complete specification.

Does SP Center support prototypes?

Prototype work can be assessed. Trial scope, records and approval depend on the purpose of the prototype and programme requirements.

Can an existing process be transferred?

Yes, after comparing parameters, equipment, tooling, reference data, qualification and the alternate-source approval route.

Who owns the process data?

Ownership, access, retention and permitted use should be agreed in the contract and project documentation. There is no single default for every programme.

Are system certificates enough to start serial production?

Not necessarily. They do not replace source, component or process approval, FAI, PPAP or other programme-specific requirements.

What is the next step?

Send non-restricted information through the RFQ form or arrange a discussion through Contact. The team will identify missing inputs and the appropriate route.

Start a controlled review

For the first review, provide the drawing, material, heat treatment, volume, process requirements and expected approval route. For equipment transfer or on-site work, add information on the machine, location, data, maintenance and allocation of responsibility.
