Vibro polishing / deburring
What is vibro polishing?
Vibro-abrasive finishing, also known as vibratory finishing, rotary abrasion, tumbling, or trowalization, is an effective method for cleaning, finishing, and surface treatment of various types of materials.
How does vibro-abrasive finishing work?
The process is based on the use of vibrations and the mutual friction of abrasive media (called abrasive shapes), assisted by chemical agents, in specialized chambers.
Principle and applications of vibro-abrasive finishing (trowalization)
In vibro-abrasive finishing (also called vibratory finishing, tumbling, or trowalization), parts are placed inside a drum or vibratory chamber, where they are subjected to intense vibrations, friction, and the action of media (such as resin or ceramic shapes). This process allows for removal of contaminants, degreasing of surfaces, achieving uniform finishing, and improving material strength.
Applications of vibro-abrasive finishing
Depending on the desired final effect, loose media can be used for deburring (removing sharp edges), grinding (rounding or smoothing surfaces and edges), or even polishing the surface.
Vibro-abrasive finishing has wide applications across industries, including automotive, metallurgy, jewelry, and many others. It offers numerous benefits, such as excellent cleaning results, improved product quality and finish, reduced processing time, and cost savings.
